I was able to go on a field trip with Hayley’s
class today (Mallory’s class was there too but we rode on different buses). We went
to the Centerville IMAX theater and saw “Galapagos”, a 3d movie about the
Galapagos Islands in Ecuador—their vegetation and animal life. It was great to
watch—reminding me of my own mission. I always wanted to go to the Galapagos Islands but there were no missionaries serving out there. There were only a few actual people, scientists, in the
movie but it brought back a lot of memories. Cute little Hayley got a little
bus sick on the way down (we were sitting in the middle of the bus).
We hurried and got her off the bus when we arrived at the theater, luckily without incident. We all got a bag of popcorn and a drink—Hayley didn’t touch hers and she watched the movie without her 3d glasses on (it’s a bit fuzzy- I took mine off to see how it looked since we don’t go to 3d movies).
On the way home, we sat in the very front, by her teacher, who also gets very sick in the car and bus (we made it back to school alright--Hayley had a lot more color in her face when we got to school). Mallory really enjoyed the movie—too bad we couldn’t all sit together. Mallory was 3 rows in front of us.
